Oh my! Sometimes I am so glad for self control or else I might be in jail for punching people in the throat! Yesterday was 3 rounds of self control: student, parent, worker.
Student:
As I'm teaching said child we started talking about how he's playing trumpet at school. I took instrument classes in college and have been around instrumentalist long enough to know the lingo. We were talking about embrasure and I mentioned how you change it to change pitches. He says, "Well, we don't change it we just use more air or less air." I said, "Well, maybe when you learn the really high notes you'll start to change it a bit." He said, "You mean like A? Um, yeah we've learned that one already and we did NOT change our embrasure." Oooooo!!!! It's so hard to really make you understand how he said this. Use your most sarcastic, bratty kid voice and read the last comment again. I had to MAJOR deep breathe on that one!!!!
Parent:
I ran into some former students after a lesson. I said, "Oh I didn't see you last week, were you here?" The girl said, "Yes we were here." The parent said, "You weren't here."
Ok. Why the heck would I mention NOT seeing said child if I WASN'T there????? Why wouldn't I know if I was somewhere? DUH!!!!!!! "You're right I wasn't here that's why I noticed that you weren't here either." Good grief.
Worker:
Another Curves moment. I went in last night and I was the only person there for a while, which means I get the "special treatment." That is when an employee follows you around the curcuit about 3 feet away from you making idol chit-chat. Oy!!!! Then, later when 2 others arrived the other employee tag-teams herself in and starts saying, "Good job, ladies! Way to work out!!! You can do it!!!" Cheerleading and stalking: the price you pay for working out. :(

I think since the advent of blogging people (me)are able to controll themselves more because they (I) think to themselves (myself) "Well, at least I have something good to blog about you little brat!"
:)
Regarding The Worker: That is one of the main reasons I quit going to Curves. Can't stand the chatter!!!
