Making Appointments

Just made an appointment to get my hair cut. My question is this:

*Is it easier for me to tell them what availabilities I have and see if that works for the hairdresser?
OR
*Is it easier for them to tell me the time the hairdresser has available and see what works with my schedule?
OR
*6 of one, half dozen of the other?

Kinda think the lady who schedules people was getting a little irked with me. Oh well! I'll be paying them in blood anyway, so they can just STEP OFF! Right? :)
