Parking Lot Buddy

Apparently I'll be your parking lot buddy (and frozen yogurt shop buddy).

I must have a face that people feel they can strike up a conversation with. Here's my week:

Tuesday
(Coming out of Starbucks)
Lady: Excuse me.
Me: Yes?
Lady: What color would you say my hair is?
Me: Um (walking around her to get a good look) it looks kind of reddish-brown, you know auburn.
Lady: Hmph! People keep telling me my hair is red and I'm sick of it!
Me: (Getting scared----crap! why did I say "reddish"?)
Lady: Someone even called me a red head the other day.
Me: Oh, you are definitely not a red head.
Lady: Well, I decided to ask 5 random people what color my hair is before I did anything to it. Thanks!

Wednesday
(Coming out of Target)
Me: (Putting my many bags of groceries and such in my car)
Man: (Holding one bag) Oh man! Just spent a ton of money in there!
Me: (Doing the math with our bags) You or me?
Man: Me!
Me: Me too! Stinkin' Target.
Man: Yeah I just spent over $100. Ok, talk to you later.
Me: (Yikes! He's gonna talk to me later???? When? Why? Who is he??)

Thursday
(In Frozen Yogurt shop)
Me: (Minding my own business, gettin' some wow cow)
Lady: Hmmmm, oh wow cow! Is that flavor good?
Me: (Thinking sarcastic thoughts of: No it's disgusting that's why I'm filling my cup with it). Well, I think it's good, but you shouldn't ask me because you might not like it.
Lady: Oh, well that's true. But this is the low calorie one? (Trying it) Mmmmm! That is good. Oooo look at all these flavors. I wonder if that one is good........
Me: (Thinking: Get sprinkles, pay, leave. Get sprinkles, pay, leave.......)


I think I need to muss my hair and have a crazy eye, then people won't have random conversations with me. Although, it DOES make for good stories. Hmmmmm....
