So many things to blog about from this weekend!! My weekend is a little different than most. Most people start on Friday night and finish on Sunday night. Mine starts Thursday night, skips over Saturday and ends on Sunday night. At any rate, here we go:
Thursday Night:
Thursday Night:
I went to the movies with my friend Mary. We always have fun movie adventures, like the last time we went this kid got questioned about his ticket and got ejected from the theatre. It was exciting because he was behind us and the "movie cops" were in front of us, so we were in between the fireworks. This time we went to go sit down and I went for my normal seat (in the front row of the back section so I could put my feet on the bar). There was a couple sitting on the end of this row and it was the only entrance for the row. They looked really comfortable and relaxed so I hated to have them move. I said, "Sorry! Excuse us. Thanks." The man said, "Ok, just a minute." He had both of his feet on the bar and when he went to get up he literally grabbed his leg and put in on the floor. I started feeling terrible because I kind of think maybe he had a really bad injury or he had a prosthetic leg. When he was half-way up I almost said, "That's ok, we can sit somewhere else," but then I knew the poor man took so long getting up that he'd be annoyed if it was all for nothing. At any rate, we finally sat down. Sorry mister!!!
The movie we saw was AWESOME!! It's called "Expelled" and it's a documentary by Ben Stine about Intellegent Design vs. Darwinism. I'm not usually a documentary person, but this film was fascinating.
Friday:
Friday:I did A LOT of errands this day, but in the evening I went to get some dinner and watch the Sharks game with my friend Gregg. I thought my jinxing was happening again, because it was 2-0 in the 2nd period (Dallas ahead) when we left. Then they ended up winning!! Back to the restaurant. While we sat there we saw a family of 4 having dinner. Mom, Dad and 2 sons. One of the boys was about 3 or 4 years old. He was having the fit of his life. Not happy with anything. He was standing on the seat, crying and flailing his body around. His mom was periodically trying to shove food in his mouth. At one point he was flailing so much that he hit his head on the wood behind the seat. I laughed out loud. Quite loudly!! Gregg told me to be quiet. A waiter came over to console the lad and I wanted to say, "He did that because he was having a tantrum." I kept thinking, "I wonder if something weird will happen, like the lady will start breast-feeding him." This tends to happen with a lot of coddled children who are older (that I've noticed). Something similar to that happened. The mom gave him a bottle......and HELD it for him!!!!!! Ok, have to leave this day now, it's too disturbing.
Saturday:
This is not part of my weekend because I work on Saturdays.
Sunday:
I got up bright and early and headed off to the Flea Market with Abbey. She found many treasures. I came back with nothing (which was fine since I scored at the last Flea Market). We always see some "interesting" items for sale when we go there. Here's a gem I saw yesterday:

Let me explain. It's a stool. I believe the bottom is cast iron with a fancy foot rest. The top is hair. It's a HAIRY STOOL!!!!! Ewww! Why? Ewww! I think the best part is the price. Unfortunately it's too small to see in the picture, but the price tag reads: $184. Holy cow!!! Then we saw a returning favorite: The gynecology table (in aqua). Please go here to see a picture on Abbey's flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/indulgelaughcreate/2420956535/
I really am out of words when it comes to this item for purchase.
Last night I went to see my friend Josh. We had dinner and were going to go back to his place and watch a movie. The movie got put on hold due to the Sharks game. It was the game that never ends........it goes on and on my friend............. QUADRUPLE OVERTIME!!!! I left before the end, but heard on the radio right as I pulled in to my garage. :( Next year, Sharks!!!! Victory will then be ours!!!!!
