Sing, Sing, Sing

Oh how I miss singing! I teach singing but I don't have many opportunities to sing myself. Last week I was watching the video from my Senior recital in college. I was good! I "WAS" good. I've lost so much of my upper register it makes me sad and a little sick. It's so true what they say, "If you don't use it, you'll lose it." Boo!

So now I'm on yet another quest. This quest is to find a choral group or small group that I can sing with. I've looked around a tiny bit and haven't really found anything. If anyone knows of a group or hears of one, please let me know. I'm itchin' to sing again. I'm also thinking of stepping out into the musical theatre world. It's been a dream of mine to be in a musical (post high school and college). It would be great if I could enjoy that experience with a "friend" or a "b-friend" (cough-cough). That may be put on the back burner for another year or 2.

Random Rabbit Trail: I was listening to the semi-new song by Maroon 5 and Rihanna yesterday and was thinking that their blend is amazing!! What a great pairing. They have a similar timbre to their voices and their vibrato is very similar. That is my music geek side note.
