Safeway Secrets

Saturday night I went to Safeway with my friend Gail to pick up a few items for the Christmas season. To our horror we spied a teenager on top of another teenager in the back seat of the car parked next to us. This was not in the most remote part of the parking lot and the lights were brightly shining. We were really hoping to not run into them in Safeway later.

As we finished up our shopping and hopped in line I was congratulated and was given a $6 gas card. "Wow!!!" I said. "How did I score this?" The guy said, "You spent over $600 this month." "Oh no I didn't." He just shrugged and handed me my great gift card.

So, I told Gail my Safeway secret about my other name. Apparently, my old phone number that I still use because I can't find my Safeway card has had the name "Tuan Nguyen" attached to it even when my number was still my number. It's pretty funny when the checkers try to say my fake name and then ask, "Is that how you say it?" "Sure!!!!"

So basically I think my small amount spent at Safeway along with Tuan Nguyen's amount got me the sweet, sweet deal of a gas card. Sorry Tuan. I'll by your next tank of gas if we ever meet.

As we walked out of Safeway who did we spy, but the MOTHER to one of our teenage friends from the car (the windows of the car are now completely fogged). I said to Gail, "I think I'm going to say something." She said, "Please don't say anything." I said, "Oh I'm saying something!!" I said something.

Me: "Hi! Just a little heads up. Your little friends were getting busy in the backseat of the car. They were literally on top of each other going to town. Just thought you might want to know."

Lady (with a smile on her face): "Oh really? Do you happen to have jumper cables?"

Me: "No, sorry."

I guess she already knew about the little escapade. Wow!!! So much excitement at Safeway.
