The Rainy Flea

Yesterday I finally was able to head out to the flea market. I think the last time I went was around October or November. Crazy!! Even this time was a little touch and go because of the weather. I was determined come rain or shine that this would be my month. I went with my niece Justinna, my cousin Beth, my friend Mary, and baby Matthew. We had a grand time.

It was a touch rainy so there weren't as many vendors and many of them skee-daddled (Welkley spelling) when the rain came down. We still had fun. I found out that my niece is quite the bargain shopper. She gives a certain look that makes people want to lower the price. She will do quite well when she is ready to purchase a car.

I bought one item at the flea:
This fabulous, funky ring.

I thought about buying this, but then after consulting with my peeps decided to just take a picture and blog about it instead:It's a handcuff bracelet. I thought it would be really cute and then started thinking maybe it would be more interestingly naughty then actually cute (especially for someone my age).

After the flea we headed out (early because of the rain) and went to Ikea. Every time I think of Ikea it's very "sing-songy" in my head. It kind of makes me think of the Veggie Tales with "Stuff Mart" and every time they saw it the "sing-songy-Stuff-Mart" would play. Anyway, I digress. I was sooo tired from barely any sleep the night before, getting up at the booty crack o' dawn to go to the flea, and walking around the flea that my typically excitement level for Ikea was a little low. I did end up getting this FANTASTIC table lamp (of which I would like more--they are super cheap):

Fun times at the flea! June 7th is the next flea market, so mark your calendars. :)
