I've Got A Tip For Ya!!

Topic of the day: Tip jars/cups/buckets

When did we go tip crazy? It's seems like everywhere you go these days there's a tip jar or cup or something. Why are some people so bold as to put out a tip jar when others "can't"? Should I carry a tip cup around my neck when I teach my lessons? Why is it that some people get paid to do their job and others get paid to do their job and get tips?

Also, if you're going to want a tip then.....................EARN IT!!! I was at a baseball game last night and went to the consessions stand. I noticed the tip cup. I also noticed that there was zero interaction and the food was all but tossed at me.

I actually used a tip to make this one guy stop talking yesterday. He was putting his foot further and further into his mouth, so I put my change in the tip jar and said, "Shhhhh". I kinda don't think he got it, which made me wish I hadn't dumped my precious change in his tip cup. Oh well.
