Weekend Update

Maybe I should just post about my weekends. I'm sure I'll have more to say another day, but the past few days I've been feeling that I don't have anything interesting to post.

Saturday pm - Received my first extremely inexpensive haircut. The lady who cut my hair did a good job. Wasn't sure at first because the hair was doing some funky tricks that I did not approve of, but I think I've tamed the tresses. I can deal with that for a few days in order to spend $12 on a haircut. Hooray!

Sunday am - Sang for the first time on worship team at my new church! So much fun. I love worshipping with people who are also great musicians. Love it! I'm always up for throwing down some funky fresh harmonies.

Sunday afternoon - Spent the rest of the day with Mary and her family. We went for a walk to a nearby school to watch the kids do their fancy bike tricks. Her eldest did a little trick that gave me quite the flashback from when I was learning to ride my bike. He used my leg as his break. Hi-Larious!!!! I remember when my bike would be magically magnetized to certain objects and I couldn't for the life of me remind myself to use the breaks, so....the "object" became my break. :) Later, I received a fabulous manicure from Miss Olivia. My nails look awesome! (FYI: When a kindergartner wants to give you a manicure, ALWAYS choose the clear polish). Then all the kiddos (well, Andrew, Olivia, and Luke--not Matthew) played a couple rounds of Uno. Loves me some Uno!!!!

Sunday pm - Mary and I watched the first half of "V - The Final Battle". So good!!!

Monday - Went with my mom to get our eyebrows did. I really wanted Tammy (the eyebrow whisperer), but she doesn't work on Mondays. Boo! I got Gabby instead. Her name is SOOOO not her. I guess I'd call her the Eyebrow Mime or perhaps the Eyebrow Mute. At any rate, even though she barely spoke two words to me, she did a great job. I did get myself a really great shirt today too. It made me think back to my favorite blue and white "snappy shirt". It is also blue with snaps! :)

Now I'm blogging, doing chores and rewarding my "chore-doing" with a chapter in my book.
